Wish I knew more words for “amazing”, “gorgeous”, “stunning” because even these aren’t enough to describe the lovely walk from Imerovigli to fira. This place can be called a small village located close to city FIRA. It is a continuation of Fira. Immerovigli is a picturesque. I would say it is equally romantic destination like Oia and Fira.
Imerovigli generally is a 25 – to 30-minute walk to Fira (along the clifftop footpath). It’s downhill all the way to Fira. This is the classic hiking trail many people take every day. It will take you 3 hours to cover the 9 km distance from Oia to fira. But we decided to start walking from imerovigli and this was a lovely walk along the caldera with great views here is a clifftop path that has magnificent views of the Caldera that a camera could ever shoot.
There is lot of options for hotels and traditional houses in Imerovigli. The numbers of taverns and cafes with stunning views of Caldera are many. Getting into any cafe or restro here you could discover what the view could do to your taste buds. The breathtaking view of the caldera kept us motivated and happy to move .There were churches that were closed, usually privately owned and opened only on specific occasion
The sun was slowly going down the horizon. As it went down, the burning light of the sun got dull and the sky was eventually blending into softer shades of lilac and vermilion. This made me realize how beautiful the journey had been. Worth the walk!
Very beautiful.Excellent photography. The pictures are so tempting.

I have always seen these pictures on websites that provide wallpapers to download, but I’m glad you shot some video as well. It is indeed a great place to be with someone special and watch the sun descend below the horizon. I was just thinking how do car owners bring in their cars here? I mean the lanes are too narrow for a four-wheel vehicle.

Hi,
Thank you for liking the post 🙂
Indeed the place is so beautiful , sublime you kind of develop a feeling to never end the vacation and just have the moment for yourself..
The lanes as seen in the video are normally for pedestrians. Cars are convenient on roads, Most tourist take ATV on rent that is quite compact and easy to maneuver in small places.

The complete songs is picturized in Santorini.. It shows quite a popular places like Red beach, the street to old cable car in old fira, Franco bar etc etc etc 😛
I have been watching this song zillion times.. just in love with this song and Santorini for ever!!

Dear Nancy,
Sorry to read about your physical condition and THANK YOU a tonne for writing such good words for my blog. I have been always lazying around with the idea about writing, but today when I read your words I feel great to have done this. I would love to start and fail than to lament about not doing this in future.

That’s the key. Starting slowly, edit, and edit and edit. It has taken six years to write my memoir and now my agent wants us to restructure and edit again. I have read and edited my memoir along with three editors and a co-writer until my eyes burn, at least one hundred times. I have about a thousand files of backups and rewrites.
But, because I believe my story can help so many as do my aditors and agent, that instead of trashing it (I almost did this week because I am getting weary reliving the horrors or my life), I decided to persevere.
Did you know that Beatrice Potter who wrote Peter Rabbit was rejected so many times that she decided to self publish, selling only 250 copies which later spiraled into millions around the world.
The author of Harry Potter was rejected dozens of times, as was the author of Gone with the Wind, just to name a few.
Here is one of my favorite quotes (hope it inspires you):
“Your writing matters as much as the hard labor others do. You teach us all through your words the value of helping other human beings through tragedy.” author unknown
